Internship

Welcome to my portfolio! Each section features a mix of coursework in my COM classes at Jacksonville State University and various samples that I’ve done outside of my courses.

This is my internship section. On this page are the projects and social media posts I did during my internship at Jacksonville State University in the Marketing and Communication Department. During this internship, I worked alongside the Digital Content Manager to help create and plan posts for the various social media platforms JSU has a presence on. One of the major projects I worked on was developing a social media ambassador program for the university to allow students to gain experience working in social media.

Written Works

These are the written works I created during my internship at JSU. I was tasked with developing a Social Media Ambassador program that is set to soft launch in the Fall of 2024. I created a handbook for this program that can be used for years to come and updated as needed. I also created an updated social media style guide for the Digital Media Services with updated JSU branding and tutorials on how to post on Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat.

To create this handbook, I utilized Canva, the JSU photo database, and JSU brand standards. After doing research on other social media ambassador programs at other universities, such as Auburn and Ole Miss, I was able to develop this handbook for the JSU social media ambassador program. Throughout this process, I collaborated with my supervisor Ms. Hamby to make sure I created a document that was filled with the requirements she wanted for this program.

To create this style guide I utilized Canva, the JSU photo database, and JSU brand standards. After using the previous Jax State Social Media Style Guide as a template, I created this updated style guide with the current JSU brand standards and added some information about other social media platforms and tutorials on how to post on the various social media platforms mentioned in the style guide. Throughout this process, I collaborated with my supervisor Ms. Hamby to make sure I created a document that was filled with updated elements that would be used for years to come.
